Postman!! Lock your children. Hide your doors.

We just finished Technopoly, written by Neil Postman. Now I cannot tell a lie, it was dull. I mean to some people I'm sure it was very interesting, but I have never been a fan of non-fiction (as I said in my other post). His thoughts were smart and well thought out, but I never understood them 'cause he used big words and I skimmed the pages rather fast. But when I did pick up on some of his ideas I realized that I didn't really care. Jeez, this is like hate mail. But no, I don't mean this to be so harsh. I'm sure me and Postman could be great buddies, we'd go hang out downtown and such. But as his book goes, not for me. As I said earlier, I felt it to be a smart and insightful look into technology and its use/role in our everyday lives. But I guess I'd rather just watch a movie. Sorry Neil.
